tiko announces new CTO, Colin Howlett to join the company

Colin Howlett joins tiko Energy Solutions as its new Chief Technology Officer as of October 2020, an important addition to the team, strengthening the company’s expansion course.

Previously Colin was CTO at UK-based smart home brand Energenie scaling the installed base to over 130,000 devices over 4 years, and prior to that was VP of Smart Grid Systems at Sentec, a Cambridge-based technology innovation consultancy that specialises in energy.

He began his career over 20 years ago as a software engineer and engineering manager working on billing systems for the telecoms and utilities sector. In addition to his technical expertise in IoT, he has considerable product management experience, co-founding a professional network of product managers. He holds both an MSc in Computer Science and an MBA.
